Workshops

To help parents of children with autism and other special needs, Cynthia created The Autism A to Z Workshop Series.

“Over the years I’ve been struck by the large number of parents who confided to me that they feel confused and frustrated in their attempts to secure services for their special needs child. Wherever you go, parents complain about the process. I understand their sentiments. In fact, I shared them at first. Advocacy is difficult if you lack the proper skills and knowledge. That’s where I come in. I help parents of children with autism and other special needs develop the tools they will need for the journey ahead.”

The first workshop in the series is called Introduction to Special Needs Advocacy: Empower Yourself, Empower Your Child. It is currently being offered in several locations throughout Northern California. More workshops, including an in-depth look at the Individualized Education Plan (IEP) process, will follow.

Advocating for your child doesn’t have to be an unpleasant chore. It can be enjoyable when you have the correct skills. The Autism A to Z Workshop Series will give parents the information they need to ensure their special children succeed.
