As for the insensitive remarks, for every one of those there are three or four positive ones. So I focus on those!

Doing what every mom has to do . be a mom! no matter what the circumstances you just do! sometimes with these boys, at the end of a day i say to self “holy crap i can’t believe we got through today!” being a single parent, as we both know is a HUGE job. (there should be metals for this!) but we do it because we made the commitment to do so. i have been through 2 relationships since my marriage ended. i have “raised the bar” in the mate i am looking for. i may never find her and at this point, that’s ok. like yourself i have learned that there are a bunch of people in my life that love and care about me and what i am doing. the boys as well.i would wager to say that the insensitive remarks are based on ignorance more than anything else.you just keep doing what your doing mom. cause your doin it right!
